FOOD SENSITIVITY PROGRAMS

A personalized approach to reducing inflammation!
The MRT/LEAP is a patient-specific approach to establishing a healthy eating plan.  This anti-inflammatory diet protocol uses a comprehensive blood food sensitivity test to identify foods, additives, and chemicals that are causing immune reactions, then builds a diet based on your best foods.   The end result of this program is reduced inflammation, reduction of symptoms, and an improved quality of life.

What are food sensitivities?

Food and food-chemical sensitivities are highly complex non-allergic (non-IgE), non-celiac inflammatory reactions - and they're one of the most important sources of inflammation and symptoms across a wide range of chronic inflammatory conditions.  It is often very challenging to identify trigger foods because symptom manifestation may be delayed by many hours after ingestion, and reactions may be dose-dependent. Food sensitivities can play a role in countless diseases, including but not limited to IBS, migraine/headache, Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.

How do I determine my food sensitivities?

Using the Mediator Release Test (MRT®) takes the guesswork out of an elimination diet and gives you information you cannot get any other way - and that information is the foundation for fully addressing food sensitivities and achieving the maximum outcomes in the shortest period of time.  It is a functional measurement of diet-induced sensitivity pathways.  Not only does the test give insight into inflammation provoking foods and food-chemicals, it more importantly identifies our BEST foods - the foods that form the basis of your eating plan

How do I treat my food sensitivities?

An anti-inflammatory diet protocol is used to heal and alleviate the symptoms of a compromised gut.  The diet is designed to remove all possible dietary provocation quickly, without guesswork, by utilizing the MRT® test results over the course of approximately 90 days.  The LEAP (Lifestyle Eating And Performance) Immunocalm diet begins with a plan to eat the "safest" tested foods and gradually reintroduce more non- or low-reactive safe foods over time, with a focus being on what you can have, not what you cannot have.

Once the inflammatory foods are removed, the emphasis is on replacing necessary nutrients, reinoculating good bacteria, and repairing the gut lining.  These steps are critical in calming your immune system and reducing inflammation.  The Food Sensitivities program provides patient-specific meal ideas, recipes and other lifestyle-change support for building a healthy diet designed to alleviate food-sensitivity related symptoms.
